1957–58 Oberliga (ice hockey) season
The season 1957/58 the ice hockey league was the tenth and last season of the League as the highest German Hockey League before the Bundesliga was introduced the following year. German champion EV Fussen, who was thus able to win his sixth Masters title in a row. Since only the first four teams in each group qualified for the Bundesliga, the EV Landshut, the EV Kaufbeuren, VfL Bad Nauheim and Cologne EK remained after the season in the league, which now served as the second highest league.
The DEV- Cup, which was between the teams that had not qualified for the Masters round, played, won Preussen Krefeld.

Like last year, the first round was was two groups, the Southern group and the West group, played in the form of a single round, so each club each played one home and one away match against the other teams in the own group. Afterwards, the teams qualified in the squares from 1 to 3 for the final round, in addition, there was the so-called DEV Cup fourth round with the sixth placed teams of both preliminary groups.
For the season 1958/59 the single-track ice hockey league was introduced, for the first four teams of two preliminary rounds qualified. The remaining teams left in the now second-rate league.
