Events

  • On the occasion of the International Film Festival of Locarno is the premiere of Claude Chabrol's The Disappointed instead. This film is considered the first work of the Nouvelle Vague.
  • For the second time the youth magazine BRAVO performs the readers' choice for BRAVO Otto. In the male movie stars Otto wins gold in Horst Buchholz, silver goes to OW Fischer and bronze to Rock Hudson. The most popular female movie stars of the year, Romy Schneider was the defending champion Maria Schell and Ruth Leuwerik.
