1958 Mestaruussarja
The Mestaruussarja 1958 was the 28th season for the Finnish football championship since the introduction of Mestaruussarja. It was contested among ten teams. Kuopion Palloseura and defending Helsingin Palloseura had after 18 game days, the same number of points and therefore contributed a play to the Finnish championship from the Kuopio won after extra time 1-0. Kuopio was thus for the second time after 1956 Finnish football champions.

The Finnish FA Cup decided Kotkan Työväen Palloilijat by a 4-1 over Kronohagens IF from the second league of its own. 3000 people watched this game in the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
