1960–61 IHL season
The 1960/61 season was the 16th regular season of the International Hockey League. During the regular season, the eight team should be 70 games contest, due to the premature withdrawal of the related financial Milwaukee Falcons had to be fundamentally revised the Schedule, however. In the play-offs last year's winner, the St. Paul Saints prevailed again, winning the second Turner Cup in their history.

Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Louisville Rebels stopped the game operation.
- The Milwaukee Falcons presented in the course of playing time a game operation.
- The Muskegon Zephyrs were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The Toledo -St. Louis Mercury went back to their original names Toledo Mercurys.
