1960 Mestaruussarja

The Mestaruussarja 1960 was the 30th season for the Finnish football championship since the introduction of Mestaruussarja. It was contested among twelve teams, so with two more than the previous season. Valkeakosken Haka was with only one defeat and one draw Finnish Champion 1960. Projection on the Second Turun Palloseura was at the end of a full 13 points.

Scorer

Matti Sundelin of Turun Palloseura was charged with 30 hits scorers of Mestaruussarja 1960. Sundelin won this award after 1957 and 1959 for the third time.

FA Cup

In the final, the Finnish Football Cup last year's winner Valkeakosken Haka and RU -38 Pori stood on 23 October against the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki. Before a Cup record crowd of over 4700 spectators Valkeakoski won 3-1 after extra time and thus overall the third time the national cup competition.

International truncation

Valkeakosken Haka qualified as a master of the 1960 season for the European Cup of Champions 1961/62:
