1960 Rugby League World Cup

The third Rugby League World Cup was played in 1960 for the first time in the UK instead. It was attended by four teams and the games were played in the north of England Rugby League strongholds Bradford, Leeds, Swinton and Wigan. A group stage of the World Cup As with the 1957 World Cup was only played and, based on the final table. The Rugby League World Cup 1960 had to deal with problems that were not encountered in the previous World Championships. To watch the live broadcast of complete games led the television at a lower number of spectators in the stadiums than expected.
