Special events

L' Equipe wrote in March 1962 " The Cup has evolved into a repechage " because three of the four semi-finalists competed in the Division 1 against relegation - then the two of them, including just the competition winner, actually befell. This Saint -Etienne had set just one goal in six Cup rounds the corresponding record of Olympique Marseille out of the season in 1926/27.
