1961–62 NHL season
The NHL 1961/62 season was the 45th season in the National Hockey League. Six teams each played 70 games. The Stanley Cup won by the Toronto Maple Leafs after a 4-2 victory in the final series against the Chicago Blackhawks eleven years after their last success. For the first time in NHL history two players are the same level in the race for the Art Ross Trophy. Bobby Hull and Andy Bathgate reached 84 points. The trophy went to Hull because he had scored more goals. He is the third party who hit the opponent's goal 50 times.
