The 75th edition of the Wimbledon Championships took place in 1961 on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Church Road instead.

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the tournament was the President of the All England Club, Princess Marina, a dinner, which was attended by 38 former winners.

Men's Singles

In the men's Rod Laver won his first title.

Women's Singles

In the first all- British women's final since 1914 Angela Mortimer Christine Truman defeated in three sets.

Men's doubles

In the men's doubles Roy Emerson and Neale Fraser won.

Women Doubles

In the women's double won Karen Hantze - Susman and Billie Jean Mofitt the title.

Mixed

In Mixed Lesley Turner and Fred Stolle were successful.
