1962–63 DDR-Oberliga (ice hockey) season
The East German Ice Hockey Cup 1962/63 was played in the league with six teams. Also six teams formed the league. A third class game for the first time the group league was established, which consisted of four squadrons. This one came after two years returned to practice to make the division along regional lines. In Season 1 thus played Thuringian teams in season 2 teams mainly from the districts of Halle and Magdeburg, primarily the Harz region, in Season 3, the teams from the district of Karl- Marx-Stadt and in Season 4, the teams from the Lausitz.
