1962–63 NHL season
The NHL season 1962/63 was the 46th season in the National Hockey League. Six teams each played 70 games. The Stanley Cup won by the Toronto Maple Leafs after a 4-1 victory in the final series against the Detroit Red Wings. This season ended Glenn Hall's series of 551 consecutive games. The goalie had to leave due to a pinched nerve in the neck, the ice and miss the subsequent game. Sid Abel took over as general manager of the Detroit Red Wings after Jack Adams 35 years held the position.
