1963–64 FDGB-Pokal

The 13th competition for the football fdgb Cup took place in the season 1963/64.

It began with a preliminary round with 65 teams at the end of the season 1962/63 abolished II DDR -Liga and were not represented in the 17 finalists of the District Cup competitions. The 32 representatives of the I. DDR League were joined in the first main round, the 14 premier league teams played from Main Round 3, played along in the only two teams in the district trophies and II DDR -Liga.

The second round consisted of eleven Oberliga side, four teams in the league I. DDR and gallery Neustrelitz as the last district representatives. The Neustrelitzer resigned after a defeat at home against SC Motor Jena 1:2, as well as last season's Cup finalists Chemie Zeitz, who succumbed at SC Magdeburg structure with 0:2.
