1963–64 Football League

The Football League First Division 1963/64, was the 65th season of the Football League First Division as the highest English football league. The Liverpool FC won its now the sixth English Championship with four points behind Manchester United. Both team FC Chelsea and Stoke City could get the class; instead had to Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich Town the transition to the Second Division compete. These two teams should be in the following season replaced by the two newly promoted second division Leeds United and Sunderland AFC.

A total of 487 players were used, with Liverpool the least and Fulham with 27 mustered 17 most players in league games. 103 newcomers were offset by 114 footballers who most recently came into play in the season 1963/64.
