1963–64 IHL season

The season 1963/64, was the 19th regular season of the International Hockey League. During the regular season, seven teams denied each of 70 games. In the play-offs, the Toledo Blades prevailed and won the first Turner Cup in their history.

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

  • The Minneapolis Millers stopped the game operation.
  • The Omaha Knights were transferred to the Central Professional Hockey League IHL and its license was released to the Toledo Blade.
  • The St. Paul Saints stopped the game operation.
  • The Chatham Maroons of the Ontario Hockey Association returned after eleven years back in the league.
  • The Des Moines Oak Leafs from the United States Hockey League were included as an expansion team in the league.
  • The Windsor Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey Association were added as an expansion team in the league.
