1964â€“65 Czechoslovak Extraliga season
The season 1964/65 1st League was the 22nd regular hosting of the highest Hockey Class of Czechoslovakia. With 51 points after the final round, sat down by ZKL Brno. For the team it was their tenth total Czechoslovak championship.
As in the preseason attended twelve teams at the game operation of the first league that challenged the main round in a common group. After completion of the outgoing and return the total number of matches per team was 22 games. Then played the first six teams from the master, and the remaining six teams played for the league. Champion was the winner of the final round. The two last-place teams in the relegation round went directly into the second league from the teams ranked nine and ten then had to play the two teams with the winners of the four groups of the second league in the following season in the first were allowed to compete league. Both final and relegation round took place in return game so that each team again played ten games. The points from the main round were taken in both groups.
Best scorer of the league was Zdeněk Spacek Tesla Pardubice, who scored 33 goals in his 32 games of his team.

The winners of the four groups played second division in return game along with the third and fourth last of the first league to participate in this in the following season. The two first league teams TJ Gottwaldov and TJ Spartak LZ Plzeň reaching relegation, while the other four teams had to stay in the 2nd league.
