1965–66 European Cup

The European Champions' Cup 1965/66 was the 11th edition of the competition. 32 club teams participated, including 31 national champion of the previous season with Inter Milan, the defending champion.

The participants played in the Cup mode with pure (except for the final) round-trip games for the crown of European club football. In Torgleichstand counted in the first two rounds, first the greater number of away goals scored and from the quarter- finals playoff matured. There was still no decision, a coin was tossed

The final took place on 11 May 1966 at the Heysel Stadium in Brussels before some 55,000 spectators instead.

Preliminary round

The first legs were held to 6 October, the return legs of 8 September to 22 October 1965 by August 29.

First round

The first legs were held until December 1, the return matches from November 17 until December 15, 1965 by November 9.

Quarterfinals

The first legs took place from February 2 to March 2, the return matches on 2 / 9 March 1966 instead.

Semifinal

The first legs were held on 13 April and the return legs on April 20th place in 1966.
