1965–66 Nationalliga A season

The 1965/66 season was the 28th regular hosting of the National League A, the top Swiss league in hockey. Ever was the Grasshopper-Club Swiss champion for the first time in their history, while the HC Villars descent into NLB.

Mode

In a joint main round played each of the ten teams in return match against each group opponent, bringing the total number of matches per team was 18. The top four teams qualified for the final round, in which the Master was played. The last placed the main round rose from the NLB. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw one point. At a loss to give any points.
