1965 All-Africa Games

The Pan-African Games in 1965 were the first edition of this sporting competition.

The games were held until July 25, 1965 in Brazzaville, capital of the Republic of the Congo from 18 July. Approximately 2500 athletes from 29 countries participated. The football tournament won the team Congo. Among the athletes who won gold, include Gaoussou Koné, Wilson Kiprugut, Kipchoge Keino and Samuel IGUN.
