1966–67 Czechoslovak Extraliga season

The season 1966/67, the first league was the 24th regular hosting of the highest Hockey Class of Czechoslovakia. With 52 points, the Army Sports Club Dukla Jihlava prevailed. For the team it was their first Czechoslovakian league title at all.

Mode

As in the previous season the league was played with ten teams. Since each team fought out against each group opponent each two home and away games, the total number of matches per team was 36 games. Champion was the winner of the Main Round. The-table rose directly into the respective national championship.

Table

Best scorer of the league was Václav Nedomansky Slovan Bratislava CHZJD, who scored 40 goals in the 36 games of his team.

1st League qualifier

The winners of the four second division groups, VTZ Chomutov, Spartak Hradec Králové, Slezan Opava and Dukla Nitra played in home and away leg for admission to the first league for the following season. Here, the VTZ Chomutov prevailed with twelve points and rose to the first league.
