1966–67 Football League

The Football League First Division 1966/67, was the 68th season of the Football League First Division as the highest English football league. Manchester United won four point gap on the chasing Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur now his seventh British Championship. Both newly promoted Manchester City and Southampton FC could get the class; instead had to play the course in the Second Division Aston Villa and FC Blackpool. These two teams should be in the following season replaced by the two second-division promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers and Coventry City.

A total of 482 players were used, with the Liverpool FC, Sheffield Wednesday and Tottenham Hotspur 18 with the least and Newcastle United with 28 mustered the most players in league games. 96 newcomers were offset by 104 footballers who most recently came into play in the season 1966/67.
