1967–68 ice hockey Bundesliga season

The 1967/68 season of ice hockey league was the tenth season of the highest German Hockey League. German champion was the EV Fussen, who was thus able to win his 13th title. The defending Düsseldorf EC took only fourth place in the finals. In the relegation of the SG could Oberstdorf / Sonthofen the class does not hold, but the SC Riessersee managed to return to the top flight. Second Movers was the Augsburger EV.

Mode

Like last year, the league was first with five teams in two seasons, the Bundesliga and Bundesliga South West, played out. The respective top three teams after the first round then played in a single-track double round of the German champions. The three last-place teams each played in a regional split relegation round against the best teams in the league North or South for their place in the Bundesliga. In contrast to the previous season, the Bundesliga two groups, however, were only held as single rounds while the final round and relegation rounds were played as a double round. Moreover, the number of the respective Relegation Round participants were increased to six teams, so now also got the league - fourth were allowed to participate in the round.

The two winners of the relegation rounds then played for the DEV Cup.
