1967 South American Championship

The Campeonato Sudamericano 1967 was the 29th edition of the South American continental championship in football and was held from January 17 to February 2 for the sixth time in Uruguay instead. Brazil and Peru did not participate. This was the first time since his accession to the 1952 CONMEBOL Venezuela at the start.

A change was made in the discharge mode. For the first and only time in the history of the Copa competition was divided into a qualification and a final. Four teams were automatically set for this.
