First in the 1968/69 season of the German Bundesliga and thus German master of men was the FC Bayern Munich.

Season overview

Bayern Munich won the first five games of the season and was the first to the last match of the league. At the end of the projection was eight points to the runner-up Alemannia Aachen. The Munich also won the DFB-Pokal, which a German club ( FC Schalke 04 ) could win the Double for the first time since 1937. This success meant national breakthrough for Bayern in German football. Furthermore, the Munich coach Branko Zebec continued throughout the season only 13 players.
