1968–69 Czechoslovak Extraliga season

The season 1968/69 1st League was the 26th regular hosting of the highest Hockey Class of Czechoslovakia. With 29 wins and a draw in 36 game days, the Dukla Jihlava ASD sit through and won the third Czechoslovakian league title in club history. Motor České Budějovice rose in the second league, which first ČNHL decreases while Škoda Plzeň in the promotion round promotion to the 1st League.

Mode

As in the previous season the league was played with ten teams. Since each team fought out against each group opponent each two home and away games, the total number of matches per team was 36 games. The last placed the table went straight into the respective national championship.

Best scorer of the league was Jaroslav Jiřík, who scored 35 goals in the 36 games. Top scorer was Jan Suchy of Master Jihlava, the 28 goals and 26 assists in 36 games collected.
