The Divizia A in 1968/69 was the 31st season in the history of Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on August 11, 1968 and ended on 15 June 1969. From early December to early March rested the game operation ( winter break ). Master was UTA Arad. The Divizia A first played with 16 teams.

The Divizia A played with 16 teams. The two last- placed teams were relegated in the Divizia B. For a victory, there were two points for a draw and one point for a loss no points.
