1968–69 Swedish Division I season
The 1968/69 season was the 25th season of Division 1 as the highest Swedish hockey league. Champion for the first time in club history at all Leksand IF. Skellefteå AIK, Hammarby IF, IFK Bofors and Rögle BK descended to the second division.
Mode
In the main round of the league was divided into two groups ( North and South). Each of the eight teams in each group completed a total of 21 games. The top four teams from each group qualified for the final round, in which the Master was played. The two last placed each group went directly into the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
