1968 African Cup of Nations qualification

A total of 22 teams entered to participate in the African Cup of 1968 in Ethiopia.

Defending champions Ghana and Ethiopia hosts were fixed set for the final round, 20 other teams went into the qualification.

These were divided into six skill groups:

  • Four groups of three: We played against each with home and away matches.
  • Two groups of four: It was played in KO system with home and away matches.
