1970 European Cup (athletics)

The 3rd Athletics European Cup -A- finals of the women was August 22, 1970 in Népstadion of Budapest (Hungary ) and the men on 29 and 30 August 1970 at the Olympic Stadium of Stockholm ( Sweden). On both dates 31 disciplines ( 20 men, 13 women) were held. In the women's 1500 -meter run and the 4 x 400 - meter relay team were new to the program.

With the new decade, the race of Turnus was increased two - to three-year, but this was soon changed again. Women and men stepped back to different locations.
