1971–72 Coppa Italia

The Coppa Italia 1971/72, the football cup competition for club teams in Italy of the 1971/72 season, won the AC Milan. Milan met in the final at Napoli and was able to win the Coppa Italia for the second time. 2-0, the team of coach Nereo Rocco won the day and was the successor of Torino, which had prevailed in the previous year against Milan, but this time was eliminated in the second group stage.

As an Italian Cup Winners 1971/72, the AC Milan qualified for the European Cup Winners' Cup the following year, where it won in the final against the British representatives Leeds United and thus secured the European Cup victory.
