1971–72 Polska Liga Hokejowa season

The 1971/72 season was the 37th season of the Polish Hockey League, the highest Polish Ice Hockey league. Champion for the fourth time in club history Podhale Nowy Targ. Zagłębie Sosnowiec and Unia Oświęcim descended into the 2nd league.

Mode

In the main round each of the eleven teams completed a total of 40 games. The winner of the main round was champion. The two last placed the main round rose from the 2nd league. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
