1971 Norwegian First Division

The first Divisjon 1971 was the 27th season of Norway's highest football league and the ninth season under the name 1 Divisjon. The season began on April 25, 1971 and ended on 17 October 1971.

Mode

The 10 teams played in a single round with round-trip game against each other so that each team completed 18 games. Master was the Leading after the last matchday. Since the league was expanded in the next season at 12, had to dismount only the table last.

Season

Rosenborg BK was the third time Norwegian champion. They also won the trophy for the third time and succeeded for the first time the Double.

The season was very balanced. No team was able to settle. Most of the time led Viking Stavanger on the table, but often only on goal difference. Even at the end of the season were the first six teams separated by just three points.

Of the climbers only Frigg Oslo had to descend again.
