1972–73 Serie A (ice hockey) season

The 1972/73 season was the 39th season of the series A1, the highest Italian Hockey League. Master became the second overall time in the club history of HC Bolzano.

Mode

First, the nine teams contested a common main round. The top four teams qualified for the final round, in which the Master was played. The other five teams then denied a placement round. The points from the main round were incorporated into the final round or placement. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
