1973–74 Divizia A
The Divizia A in 1973/74 was the 36th season in the history of Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on August 12, 1973 and ended on 19 June 1974. Between mid- December to end of February rested the game operation ( winter break ). This season was first played with 18 teams. Universitatea Craiova champion for the first time.

The Divizia A played with 18 teams. The three last-place teams were relegated in the Divizia B. For a victory, there were two points for a draw and one point for a loss no points.
