1973–74 Nationalliga A season
The 1973/74 season was the 36th regular hosting of the National League A, the top Swiss league in hockey. For the third time in their history the SC Bern Swiss champion, while the Zürcher SC descent into NLB.
Mode
In a joint main round played each of the eight teams in four games against each group opponent, bringing the total number of matches per team was 28. The winner of the main round was champion. The last placed the main round rose from the NLB. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw one point. At a loss to give any points.
