1973â€“74 UEFA Cup
The UEFA Cup in 1973/74 was the third edition of the competition and was won by Feyenoord in the final against Tottenham Hotspur. The competition, which was attended by 64 club teams as last year, was held in six rounds in home and away matches. In Torgleichstand initially decided the number of away goals scored, then there was an extension and a penalty shoot-out.
The most successful German teams this season, VfB Stuttgart and 1.FC locomotive Leipzig, who came to the semifinals in each case, but there were thwarted by eventual winners Feyenoord and at Tottenham Hotspur.
