1974–75 European Cup

The European Champions' Cup 1974/75 was the 20th edition of the competition. 30 club teams participated, including defending champion and German champion Bayern Munich, as well as a further 29 national champion of the previous season. For the GDR took 1.FC Magdeburg, in part for the FC Zurich Switzerland and Austria for the SK VÖEST Linz. The national champions from Albania and Italy were not at the start. The Italian champions Lazio Rome was locked because of the riots in the game of the 2nd round of the UEFA Cup in 1973/74 against Ipswich Town for a year. The final was played on 28 May 1975 at the Parc des Princes stadium.

Mode

The participants played in the pure Cup mode (except for the final) round-trip games for the crown of European club football. In Torgleichstand first counted the greater number of away goals scored; there was also this a tie, the second leg was extended and, if necessary, immediately then discharged a penalty shootout to decide.

Quarterfinals

The first legs were ( vs. Barcelona. Atvidabergs ) on 4/5 March and the return legs on 11 ( vs Atvidabergs. Barcelona) / 19 March 1975 instead.

Semifinal

The first legs took place on April 23, 1975 April 9, the return games.
