1975 World Wrestling Championships

The Wrestling World Championships 1975 were held until September 18, 1975 in Minsk on 11. It was fought in both the Greco-Roman and free style. The wrestlers were divided into ten weight classes.

Greco-Roman

The competitions in the Greco-Roman style were held until September 14, 1975 of 11. Apart from the Bulgarians Kamen Losanow Goranow and Alexandar Tomow the Ringer brought from the host Soviet Union, all other remaining eight gold medals. Only Nikolai Balboschin could come up with a fourth place in the weight -100 kg not place on the medals. In addition to the German medal winners still occupied Dieter Heuer as fourth in the weight category -90 kg and Heinz -Helmut Wehling sixth in the weight category -68 kg for the GDR and Thomas Passarelli sixth in the weight category -62 kg for Germany ranks among the top six.

The competitions in freestyle took place between 18 September 1975 15. In addition to the German medal winners from occupied Germany Willi Heckmann in the weight category -48 kg and Peter Neumair in the weight category -90 kg and Helmut stocking from the GDR in the weight category -62 kg respectively in sixth place.
