1976 NHL Amateur Draft

The NHL Amateur Draft in 1976, the annual talent contraction of the National Hockey League, was held on June 15, 1976 in the office of the NHL in Montreal, Canada in the province of Quebec instead.

A total of 135 players were drawn into 15 rounds, where in the last rounds only a few teams chose the players and from the ninth round, only the Montreal Canadiens and St. Louis Blues more players attracted. The top draft pick Rick Green could not bring not great fame, but he played a long career with over 800 games in the NHL. Only three players brought it on more missions. The star of the St. Louis Blues, it brought Bernie Federko, who scored more than 1,000 points scorer in the service of the team. Björn Johansson, the California Golden Seals brought the first team of draft history a European in the first round.
