1976 Norwegian First Division

The first Divisjon 1976 season was the 32nd season of the highest Norwegian Football League and the 14th season under the name 1 Divisjon. The season began on 25 April 1976 and ended on 17 October 1976.

Mode

The twelve teams played in a single round with round-trip game against each other, so each team completed 22 games. Master was the Leading after the last matchday. The last three teams had to dismount.

Season

Lillestrøm SK for the second time Norwegian champion.

Lillestrøm SK sat on Matchday 6 to the top of the table. The projection was up to four points. Only after the 16th match day was again close. On 19 Round took over Brann Bergen briefly the standings. But in the end succeeded in Lillestrøm to defend the lead of one point.

Of the climbers Bryne IL, Hamarkameratene and SK Vard only SK Vard had to descend again.

On the final day of the season stated Jan Fuglset Molde FK set a new record: in a 6-1 victory to his team at Strømsgodset IF he scored all six goals. This record is only good until today (December 2009) in the top division.
