1976 Summer Paralympics

The 5th Summer Paralympics were held from August 3 to August 11, 1976 in Toronto. The city was determined to be the organizer after the Summer Olympic Games of the year were awarded to the Canadian city Montreal.

Participating nations

At the games in Toronto was attended by 40 nations. Some countries, however, had withdrawn their commitment due to the participation of South Africa.
