1977 NHL Amateur Draft

The NHL Amateur Draft in 1977, the annual talent contraction of the National Hockey League, took place on 15 June 1977 in the office of the NHL in Montreal, Canada in the province of Quebec instead.

A total of 185 players were taken in 17 rounds, where in the last rounds only a few teams player chose and from lap 16, only the Detroit Red Wings attracted more players. Among the first ten selected players only managed Doug Wilson to greater awareness. The certainly best player in the draft, Mike Bossy, was first selected as 15. He was one of the players, the large proportion of the three Stanley Cup victories of the New York Islanders had at the beginning of the 1980s. The future Hockey Hall of Famer Rod Langway was drawn as the last player in round 2 at 36th place.
