1977 Norwegian First Division

The first Divisjon 1977 was the 33rd season of the highest Norwegian Football League and the 15th season under the name 1 Divisjon. The season began on 25 April 1977 and ended on 16 October 1977.

Mode

The twelve teams played in a single round with round-trip game against each other, so each team completed 22 games. Master was the Leading after the last matchday. The last three teams had to dismount.

Season

Lillestrøm SK became the second consecutive Norwegian champion. It was the third title overall. They also took home the trophy and for the first time the Double.

Lillestrøm SK led the table from the first until the last game. They continuously built its lead. After the 10th matchday were never less than five points. Only three games left they stood firm as a master.

The newly promoted FK Bodø / Glimt, Moss FK and IF Vålerengens could all stop at the first Divisjon.
