1978–79 CHL season

The 1978/79 season was the 16th regular season of the Central Hockey League. The six teams completed in the regular season each 76 encounters. The Central Hockey League was played in a division. The point of best team in the regular season were the Salt Lake Golden Eagles, while the Dallas Blackhawks interspersed in the finals at the Adams Cup.

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

  • The Oklahoma City Blazers, who were inactive a year earlier, sold their license and put the game Operation as Oklahoma City Stars continued.
