1978–79 Coupe de France

The competition for the Coupe de France in the 1978/79 season was the 62nd playout of the French Football Cup for men teams. This year, reported 2,473 clubs.

After completion organized by the regional subdivisions of the National Federation FFF qualifying rounds intervened in Zweiunddreißigstelfinale the 20 first division in a competition. Éric Pécout was the first player of the Cup history, get three hits in a playoff; until now (2009 ) this is with Jean -Pierre Papin (1989 with Olympique Marseille) managed only one other finalist.
