1978–79 Serie A (ice hockey) season

The 1978/79 season was the 45th season of the series A1, the highest Italian Hockey League. Champion for a fifth time in club history the HC Bolzano.

Mode

The nine teams completed a common main round, the First Place Champion. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
