1978 Copa Libertadores
The Copa Libertadores 1978 was the 19th edition of the most important South American football competition for club teams. 21 teams took part. It took the national champions of CONMEBOL countries and the second part respectively. The participants completed titleholder CA Boca Juniors. The tournament began on March 5 and ended on November 28, 1978 with the final second leg. The Argentine representative CA Boca Juniors won the final against Deportivo Cali and was able to defend his title from last year.
