1978 WBF World Championships
The Badminton World Cup 1978 was held from 4 to 7 November 1978 in Bangkok, Thailand, instead. It was the first World Cup of the smaller Badminton World Federation WBF, which, however, belonged to China with one of the most important countries of the badminton sport. The tradition -rich IBF World Association had in 1977 directed his first title fights. Skip to second World Cup of the IBF 1980, the WBF united with the IBF under their roof, not without the WBF 1979 had carried out its second title fights.
