1978 World Series of Poker

The World Series of Poker 1978 ( WSOP ) was held at Binion 's Horseshoe.


Main Tournament

42 people took part in the main tournament. The entrance fee was $ 10,000. For the first time the prize money was paid out to more people than just the winner. A special feature was due to the truncation of the previous Champions Johnny Moss, Thomas Preston, Walter Pearson, Brian Roberts and Doyle Brunson, excreting all on the first day of the tournament.
