1979 British Formula One season

The Aurora AFX Formula 1 series in 1979, also known as British Formula 1 Championship in 1979, was a single-seater racing series, which was extended by the regulations of the racing formula 1.

Championship

1980 took place the second season of the Aurora AFX Formula 1 series. In addition to racing cars of Formula 1 cars and the Formula Atlantic was admitted. At the Grand Prix of Nogaro even Fomel -2 race cars were at the start. The season started on April 1 with the Belgian Cup in Zolder and ended with the 15th event in October at Silverstone. A summary score Rupert Keegan secured by a margin of two points on Dave Kennedy.
