1980–81 CHL season

The 1980/81 season was the 18th regular season of the Central Hockey League. The nine teams should complete in the regular season of 80 matches, but the Birmingham Bulls and Houston Apollos put on their team during the season from playing back, whereupon the game plan had to be changed. The Central Hockey League was played in a division. The point of best team in the regular season were the Dallas Blackhawks, while the Salt Lake Golden Eagles interspersed in the finals at the Adams Cup.

  • The Wichita Wind were added as an expansion team in the league.
